INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT UKRAINE CAMPAIGN PROVIDES MONTHLY FOOD PARCELS, HYGIENE MATERIALS TO THOUSANDS OF FAMILIES – AMBULANCES AND MEDICAL EQUIPMENT-MATERIALS ARE ON THEIR WAY TO UKRAINE


IBC-International Blue Crescent campaign response to Ukraine crisis is intensified in Ukraine and Moldova covering thousands of IDPs and refugees in both countries.

Monthly food packages are distributed to 500 families in Gagausia, Moldova and 1000 families in Odessa-Bolgrad and other districts.

IBC is providing monthly food and hygiene packages on a monthly basis until end of year to refugees who fled to Moldova and IDPs who are accommodated in Odessa and Mikolaev.

In addition, three ambulances have been shipped for the needs of Comrat, Vulkanesh, and in state hospitals in Moldova to assist them in covering the health needs caused by the influx of people from eastern Ukraine.

Further, Refugee reception centers in Bolgrad, Ukraine and Chisinau and Kongaz in Moldova are getting permanent support with food and other necessary materials for nutrition and hygiene needs.

Trailers of medical equipment and consumables are shipped for the needs of state hospitals and health institutions in Odessa, Mikolaev, and neighboring Moldova including Komrad hospitals.

IBC-International Blue Crescent is planning a new winterization campaign for the winter needs to deliver tens of thousands of heaters and blankets to the host families and institutions and take care about nutrition and health needs of the displaced people.

Additionally, by September, two Primary Health Units will be constructed in Odessa and Mikolav with the aim to increase to six by next year.

Lastly, by October, a mobile bakery with a capacity of 2000 loaves per day will be operated for the needs of IDPs in the Bolgrad district of Odessa, Ukraine.
