IBC IS IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE UKRAINE PEOPLE. EMERGENCY FOOD AND MEDICAL RESPONSE IN ODESA OBLAST AND MOLDOVA CONTINUES.

IBC continues its support to Ukraine IDPs sheltered in Odesa oblast and refugees seeking support in Moldova. Since March we did provide food for 3000 refıugees settled in buildings of Moldova Trade Union and Komrad Municipality and with host families in Komrad and Kongaz Moldova.

Recently mission chaired by the IBC president Recep Uker visited Odesa oblast and had meetings with Bolgrad authorities and completed the needs assessment in the region. It s noticed that around 60000 IDPs fled for safety in southwest Odessa across the Moldova border and the local authorities are in desperate need of emergency food and medicine. In this framework, IBC has shipped 82000 ready-to-eat meals to Bolgrad from Turkey and delivered big quantities of fresh vegetables and commodities to Bolgrad governorship Humanitarian Response Department.

Similar deliveries were provided to Komrad Municipality in Moldova and buildings that accommodated Ukrainian refugees are refurbished and equipped with refrigerators and washing machines.

IBC is organizing the delivery of all medical equipment and medicine needs of two hospitals in Bolgrad Odessa and the Komrad State Hospital in Moldova.

Ambulances for transport and treatment of the patients in Moldova and Ukraine will be delivered in May too.
