Turkey Refugee Council (TRC) which became operational with the aim to protect the rights of refugees and host communities in Turkey and to develop policies and programs designed for this purpose brings work to become more active in 2020.

International Blue Crescent Foundation (IBC), which is one of founding member of Turkey Refugee Council, together with IGAM and OXFAM, speeds up its efforts to achieve TRC's basic goals with 20 years of experience in humanitarian aid and strong networks established in national-international platforms.

Turkey Refugee Council (TRC), which brings together non-governmental organizations working on refugees in line with common strategies and goals, aims to establish an active and effective network to ensure the effective participation of NGOs in determining policies on compulsory immigration at local, national and international levels and making decisions regarding this.

TRC, which already has 23 members while aiming to improve its capacity by adding 20 new members with its management team in cooperation with OXFAM, IGAM and IBC, will continue to work in a national structure function entirely managed by refugees and will contribute significantly to national and international advocacy with the membership mechanism that it has developed.

Vice President of International Blue Crescent Foundation Muzaffer Baca, who is also the  Member of the Board of Turkey Refugee Council, stated that it acts as a common framework for the coordinated workspace and he particularly emphasized the sensitivity of involving local and central governments in the process of creating processes and policies.

Turkey Refugee Council (TRC) is a pilot mechanism that advocates for asylum and immigration with the number of refugees in Turkey reaches about 4 million, that covers all NGOs that contribute to its implementation by producing concrete policies. While this mechanism determines common agendas by considering the priorities and diversity of its members, it will also strengthen its capacity to meet with different actors by always actively communicating with global refugee networks.
