FOOD AID DELIEVERED TO 5000 FAMILIES IN YEMEN BY IBC

International Blue Crescent (IBC) continues its relief projects in Yemen.

In October and November, emergency food aid was delivered to 5000 families under the coordination of IBC Yemen.

In Yemen, where  the world's largest humanitarian crisis is ongoing, more than 20 million people are deprived of safe food and threatened with hunger. Regular food aid to civil war victims, mostly children, is provided through emergency aid projects from international aid organizations.

In November 2018, the International Blue Crescent Foundation (IBC) launched an emergency food aid program in Yemen, delivering more than 30 tonnes of food aid to the victims of the Yemeni war.

The food parcels, which includes flavour (20 kg), rice (10 kg), sugar (10 kg), oil (4lt), 8 canned beans and biscuits, were distributed to beneficiaries in Zinjabar, Mukalla and Lahej.

IBC is preparing a new distribution for families living in temporary shelters for those who forced to migrate in December due to the civil war in Zinjabar.

In 2020, the International Blue Crescent  (IBC) will launch new projects in Yemen regarding emergency food, water, sanitation, health and education. The upcoming projects include 4 Mobile clinics for health, 10 Water wells for agricultural irrigation, and rehabilitation of schools for educational purposes, etc.
