THE INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT FOUNDATION (IBC) BECAME THE FIRST AND ONLY TURKISH NGO AWARDED WITH THE CERTIFICATE OF BASIC HUMAN STANDARDS (CHS)


Since more than 20 years, International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation (IBC) develops and implements projects to improve lives of people who affected by crises and live in the most disadvantaged areas of the World.

IBC has special consultative status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations (ECOSOC) and also is a member of ICVA (International Council of Volunteer Agencies Member) and since its foundation, IBC has adopted the principle of always bringing its own systems, structures and applications to a higher level in order to continuously improve the quality and accountability of humanitarian aid.

The independent audits which was held both in IBC foundation centre and in the field since the year 2018, IBC has became the 18th around the globa and the first Turkish non-governmental organization that is awarded to receive a Basic Humanitarian Certificate (CHS) (https://corehumanitarianstandard.org/files/files/Core-Humanitarian-Standard-Turkish.pdf) which is recognized as an international measure in the World.

(CHS) is recognized as a voluntary legislation, and it sets international criteria for how humanitarian actions should be implemented within the framework of quality standards for affected communities. Thus, it facilitates accountability for affected communities and improves the quality of the assistance provided.

As IBC, it is our motivation to help in alleviating human sufferings, hunger, illiteracy among all people regardless of nationality, ethnicity, race, color, social origin, religion, belief, language, political opinion, gender, age, and sexual orientation, genetic and physical features. Most important goal of our foundation which is awarded with the certificate of basic human standards (CHS) that works on Humanitarian Relief, Rehabilitation, Housing, Restructuring, Development, Health and Education, is to bring hope to the future in terms of humanitarian aid by taking force from our past experiences.
