International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation (IBC) have contributed to meet another village to drinking water network, in the scope of Community Investment Program which is running in Ardahan province and its vicinity. IBC has contributed to establishment of water network or networks which are partially completed of many villages after the beginning of the BTC's activities related to lying down of oil pipe line. Uğurca Village has become the added last ring of villages-chain which was met with drinking water network.

At the first stage, IBC has allocated 1260 meters of pipe for village water network and has provided oil for the excavator to excavate the canals. The Foundation has also provided required pipes and excavating expenses for the network of the Babahur district, where is far about one km from Uğurca Village , on 25th of the May, 2004.

IBC has paid a great attention to the participation of the local people, during the stage of implementation of projects in the branches of agriculture, livestock and home economics sectors, in Ardahan and its counties. Because IBC believe to reach a sustainable and long-life project, the local community should claim on projects.

Moving from that point of view, IBC has required the labor force of villagers and excavators of the County Governor during the laying down of the network pipes.

The drinking water network of Uğurca Village has been realized in the scope of quick impact projects. In the same coverage, the network of some villages like Hasköy, Çobanlı, Dağcı, Küçük Sütlüce, Otbiçen, Kartalpınar, Armutveren, Taşkıran and Kayınlı Villages has completed or partially contributed.

IBC will continue to expand its economical and social development projects in Ardahan and its vicinity.
