IZMIT MENTALLY CHALLENGED EDUCATION & REHABILITATION CENTER STUDENTS ONCE AGAIN CHARMED THOSE WHO WATCHED THEIR PERFORMANCE

Being apart from home was a new and unforgettable experience for many of the students.

Within the scope of the day of disabled people, Izmit Mentally Challenged Education and Rehabilitation Center students has intensified their activities. The students paid a visit to Kocaeli Governor Erdal Ata and Kocaeli National Educational Director Hayrettin Gursoy to show their gratefulness on 11 th of May 2004. They presented ashtrays and vases, which were produced by them to the Governor and Director. Obviously it was a touchy moment for both of them to receive such meaningful gifts from the students.
Their next step was to pay a visit to F.M.V. Erenkoy Isik Primary School in Istanbul on 12 th of May 2004. Being apart from home was something new for most of the children. That's why they paid great attention to everything that they had seen. They were welcomed with affection by Isik Primary School students. Izmit Mentally Challenged Education and Rehabilitation Center students had a surprise for their friends at Isik Primary School : They staged a performance which was appreciated by the spectator.

They know that they are capable of doing whatever they want.

"Education" and "affection" are two key words for their success.

While they were exhibiting the pantomime performance, they read a poem, stressing that they are part of this society, and are capable of doing whatever they want. Obviously the prominent of International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation (IBC), the President Recep Uker and the Vice President Muzaffer Baca, parents of the students and teachers were living the joy of witnessing the improvement that they had achieved since the beginning of the course.

It seems that Izmit Mentally Challenged Education and Rehabilitation Center students will charm the public opinion by their performances in the following period as well.
