The International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation has organized an “Organic Agricultural Awareness Symposium” in Posof/Ardahan within the framework of activities related to Baku-Tiblisi-Ceyhan Project.
Taking into consideration the untouched conditions of the region the latest developments in agriculture, applicability of organic agriculture and the methods that could be followed has been discussed with the participation of 105, 26 being the Mukhtars and 9 related governmental officers. The participants were informed

about the latest techniques and were enlightened about their frequently asked questions. The present conventional systems and the burdens of transition to organic agriculture, possibilities and methods of applicability have been discussed.
On the second day some of the horticultural orchards of the region have been visited and acknowledgements have been given regarding budding and planting.
At the end of the two days, the participants have expressed their appreciation about the program and agreed on that such programs would be a support for their capacity building.
