International Blue Crescent Humanitarian Relief and Development Foundation has organised a booth to introduce Ardahan province organic agricutural potential in İstanbul 3rd Organic Products and Environmental Tchnologies Fair held in İstanbul between 24-27 March 2004.
IBC in cooperation with Ecology Association, Uludag University and AKDEM Company has prepared a detailed report about the organic capacity of the province. IBC is running a fruitculture Project in Ardahan financed mainly by BTC Consortium. The Project aims the training of villagers on fruit growing tecniques, packaging and marketing standazisation.

In this frame IBC Fruitculture Project coordinator Agriculture Technician Mr Ahmet Baykent and his team are providing training on site.
Mr. Ahmet Baykent with Professor Rahmi Turk from Uludag University have briefed the visitors of our booth about the potential of organic agricultural products and works have been undergoing with the support of BTC in Ardahan.. They mediated to the companies intending to launch business in Ardahan and tried to provide them all information related with the potential, new opportunities provided by the authorities and the organizations of the local people to re organize the production and marketing.

AKDEM Company introduced samples of the products of the region .

IBC will intensify its efforts to inform the Turkish and foreign investors about the potentials of the remote Ardahan province and believes that with the BTC Project will establish the infrastructure for investments in the agricultural sector.
