IBC – International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation has established its field mission office in one of the containers camps provided immediately after the earthquake by the Turkish Ministry of Public Works and Settlement.
IBC's activity in Bam consisted in providing emergency supplies for the first phase of the operation (tents, blankets, sleeping bags etc.), and its plans includes housing reconstruction, construction of a Health Center and a prefab school, implementation of a safe building training program etc. Presently, IBC is establishing and running 9 Children's Social Centers, together with water and sanitation facilities in the following 5 containers camps in Bam: Isfahan 1 and Isfahan 2 (zone 3), Qom 1, Qom 2 and Belediye / Shehrdari (zone 10).
On 27 January 2004, IBC distributed, with the support of Iranian Red Crescent, food, hygiene and kitchen supplies, for a 200 families community in Baravat region of Bam, situated in zone 13 (near the Janoubi boulevard). Each family received packages with food (rice, tomato paste, canned beans, potatoes, sugar, tea), hygiene (soap, detergent) and kitchen supplies (kitchen complete eating sets, cooks).

The beneficiaries were selected from the families who do not benefit from regular support provided to other victims of the earthquake who decided to move in the organized camps in town. And this is because they live in tents in front of the ruins of their houses.

IBC has distributed thousands of food packages, hygienic sets and blankets just after the earthquake.

CRS( USA ),Reuters Foundation,Kinder USA,Trocaire are contributing to IBC efforts to recover the Bam community.
