THE 5TH GENERAL ASSEMBLY MEETING OF IBC WAS HELD ON 24TH OF JANUARY: IBC HAS DECIDED TO INCREASE ITS CAPASITY AND EXPAND ITS ACTIVITIES
The 5th General Assembly Meeting of International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation (IBC) was held on 24th of January 2004. In the meeting completed and ongoing activities of IBC were evaluated. These activities can be listed as follows:
Düzce Self-Help Housing Project,
Parent School Partnership Program (PSP),
Izmit Education and Rehabilitation Center,
Women Training Center in Kabul,
IBC assistance to Turkmen in Northern Iraq,
Ardahan and Its Vicinity Economic and Social Community Investment Project,
Bingol earthquake Emergency Response and Repairment of Genç Health center,
Construction of an additional building to Yazlik Tabosan Primary School,
Düzce Beyciler Blue Crescent Health Center,
Establishment of a computer laboratory at Cumhuriyet Primary School in Edirne
Foodstuff distribution to terror victims in Istanbul

The members were decisive about the new policy strategy of IBC. The only way is to increase the capacity and expand the activities.

IBC will continue to do its best for disadvantaged people all over the world.

Almost all the activities mentioned above were completed. Izmit Education and Rehabilitation Center and Arhadan and Its Vicinity Economic and Social Community Investment Project, and foodstuff distribution to terror victims are the only ongoing projects.
In the meeting activities for the next term were evaluated as well. In this regard, Iran Bam Reconstrcution Project, Kahramanmaraş Development Project, establishment of computer laboratories at schools, community projects
(particularly Roman communities) and Refugees capacity building projects and Training of Disabled Children Families in entire Turkey project will take part in the activities of IBC in the following term. It is also worth noting that IBC will not limit its activities with these projects. The aim is to keep in touch with disadvantaged people all over the world and heal their wounds. Thus in the long run IBC’s activities will expand. This point was put to the vote in the General Assembly Meeting and accepted unanimously.
