IBC HAS IMPLEMENTED THE RECONSTRUCTION of GENC HEALTH CLINIC IN BINGOL: THE HEALTH CENTER WILL COVER THE NEEDS of THE INHABITANTS

International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation (IBC) has been trying to recover the wounds of earthquake victims. The last activity was the implementation of Health Clinic in Genc, one of the districts of Bingöl. It is the only health center in the district which
covers the needs of inhabitants. In order to provide better health services, the capacity of the clinic needed to be increased.
After the devastating earthquake in May 2003, Bingöl was on the agenda of IBC. In the following days of the earthquake, IBC provided an assist which had covered the needs of children in the region. IBC has kept in touch with both local administration and people in the region. Thus, further investigations are made in the region which

allowed determining the needs of the hospitals and health clinics. UMCOR, an international NGO, provided financial support for the renovation of the Genc Health Clinic. With the contribution of UMCOR, the renovation of the health clinic was
completed in two months. IBC will continue to support disadvantage people all over the world.
