INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT  PROVIDING EMERGENCY RELIEF AND CASH CONTRIBUTION TO IRAQI REFUGEES IN SYRIA
 

International Blue Crescent has launched a campaign to provide emergency relief and cash contribution to Iraqi refugees who fled to Syria since the beginning of war in 2003.
In this context, more than 500 families (2200 refugees) benefited from the campaign that was supported financially by Malteser Germany.

More than 750 children in different schools in Jaramanag got educational kits


200 families have received a cash contribution of 200 dolars in December and 100 families received a contribution of 50 dolars for the period between July-October 2007. In addition startup kits have been allocated to 200 families in Damascus and 750 school children got school materials kits in the capital of Syria. Most of the beneficiaries are located in Jaramanah and Dar ul Zeynab regions of Damascus.

International Blue Crescent, a registered NGO  in Syria, is signing a cooperation agreement  with Syrian Red Crescent and UNHCR Syria in order to extend the relief program to 2000 refugee families.
More than 1,5 million refugees live in serious conditions in Damascus and other cities of Syria. Syrian authorities are struggling to solve the problems of the refugees, though with little success, due to the limited resources and lack of international support.

IBC campaign launched in July 2007 and managed to assist 500 families yet. International Blue Crescent aims to extend the number of beneficiary families to 2000.
