International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation

IBC-INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT HAS BEEN AWARDED BECAUSE OF ITS CONTRIBUTION TO THE CIVIL SOCIETY DEVELOPMENT

IBC-International Blue Crescent Humanitarian Relief and Development Foundation is intensifying its activites for the capacity building of the community and civil society in Turkey and internationally.In this frame scores of new projects have been launched since the beginning of the year 2005. IBC has taken active part in the activities organized by Istanbul Directorate of Foundations between 09-15 May 2005.

At the starting ceremony held in Ataturk Culture Center in Istanbul,Istanbul Foundations Regional Director Mr Adnan Ertem emphasized the increasing contribution of NGO's to the solution of the main capacity and development problems of the community. Mr Suleiman Dinc the Deputy General Director of Foundations General Directorate informed that new amendments in related laws will contribute to the effectiveness of the NGO's and clear the obstacles blocking the involvement of the foundations to contribute for a more powerfull society.
At the ceremony plates of appreciation for the contribution to the capacity building of the community submitted to the most active foundations of Turkey, including IBC -International Blue Crescent. Mr Muzaffer Baca, Vice President of IBC received the plate on behalf of the foundation. Turkish folk music and Mevlevis groups performed their songs and dances during the ceremony.
