THE BEEKEEPING TRAINING PROJECT OF INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT HAS BEEN WELCOMED BY A GREAT INTEREST IN POSOF
 

The beekeeping training project being implemented by International Blue Crescent Foundation (IBC) in Posof county of Ardahan has created great echo in all Ardahan. The project which supported by European Union Turkish Delegation and being implemented by IBC aims to train unemployed people about beekeeping in Posof County . The project which being implemented with the cooperation of Posof Agricultural Development Cooperative will train 75 unemployed people.

The donation beneficiares were participated to the training program in Trabzon..


After the approval process of European Union (EU), some training activities has been organized by EU and Turkish Workforce Association in Ankara and Trabzon . After the training seminars related to implementation principles, the project announced in Posof County . In this regard, many brochures delivered, villages were visited by staff of IBC and Posof Cooperative, news were taken place in local media. The high number of applicants which were not foreseen even by IBC has been met in pleasure by both IBC and the monitoring team of EU.

The training program which covers both theoretical and practical information is being implemented by the experts of Directorate of Ardahan Beekeeping Producing Station. Visual and published training materials has been provided by Beekeeping Directorate and Ardahan Agriculture Directorate.

The first 25 numbered unemployed group is being determined by the constituted commission. In order to establish the justice and transparency notions, some selection criteria has been announced. In this regard, ex-sentenced people, physically handicapped people, housewives and unemployed people who were registered by Turkish Workforce Association are those ones who will have priority.

With the implementation of such project, IBC hopes to contribute to empowering the beekeeping sector of Ardahan which is one of less developed province of Turkey . The conveniently determined targeted group and the high participation rate to the training program gives important clues about the realism of hopes and project.
