IBC LAUNCHED A CAMPAIGN TO HELP TSUNAMI VICTIMS IN SE ASIA PRIORITY IS GIVEN FOR THE REHABILITATION OF COMMUNITIES AND CHILDREN
 

International Blue Crescent Humanitarian Relief and Development Foundation(IBC) has launched a campaign to help the Tsunami victims in SE Asia

In this frame priority has been given to emergency releif and rehabilitation activities.

IBC will deal with the psycosocial rehabilitation of children and communities in Indonesia and Sri Lanka and establish rehabilitation centers .

On the other hand a team led by Professor Ahmet Mete Isikara will provide training for the NGO s of both countries on disaster preparedness and management in their countries..They will be brought to Turkey to get an experience from the work has been done in Turkey after the 17 th August Earthquake.

Powerfull Turkish companies,famous Turkish artists and sportsmen are supporting the campaign and planning to take in a team will visit the region.

IBC is already implementing similar projects in Bam-Iran levelled after the earthquake of 26 December 2003..IBC is running five children psycosocial centers,laundries,sanitation and neigbourhood rehabilitation projects in Bam.

After the devastating earthquake in Turkey(17 th August 1999) IBC provided hot meal for 5000 people for a period of six months,reconstructed scores of schools,built new schoolls and health centers and established mentally challenged rehabilitation centers and First Aid Training Centers.
