IBC INTENSIFIES ITS FIRST AID TRAINING ACTIVITIES IN TURKEY
 

IBC-International Blue Crescent has intensified its first aid training activities across Turkey..As a first step IBC has started to provide First Aid Training to local institutions,disabled centers and families and schools in Izmit..In addition private enterprises have started to get training too.

IBC has appointed Professor Ahmet Mete Isikara as the general coordinator of its training programs across Turkey and in neighbouring countries.

Professor Isikara is the most experienced person in this field in Turkey and has provided scores of similar trainings after the disasterous earthquake of 17 August 1999 in Turkey.

IBC is staffing the most experienced on their fields experts in First Aid Training Centers


Professor Isikara has urged the public of Turkey about the urgent need of first training during the official opening ceremony held in Izmit.

He reminded the fact of the big casualties because of lack of similar training before the earthquake.

IBC is planning to expand similar training in entire Turkey..In this frame any cooperation and support from foreign institutions and donors is very much appreciated..That will promote the ability of IBC to expand the training in a more effective way and more areas.

IBC is cooperating with Malteser –Germany in its First Aid Training program.

 

 

Malteser Germany has provided financial support and is planning to send experts for a more effective program.

The first aid training center in Izmit is going to be one of the unique institutions not only dealing with the public awarenes of Turkish people on Disaster Preparedness but at the same time by providing the training practically to all interested and related communities.
