INTERNATIONAL BLUE CRESCENT FOUNDATION HAS REPAIRED THE ROADS OF ORTAGECIT VILLAGE OF ARDAHAN
 

International Blue Crescent (IBC) has provided one more service in the scope of the rural development project which is being running in Ardahan and Its Vicinity. IBC, which implementing sustainable activities aimed to agriculture and livestock sectors in villages through the Baku-Tbilisi -Ceyhan Petroleum Pipe Line, has not hesitated to meet some urgent infrastructure needs of the society, beside those sustainable activities. In this respect, some parts of internal road of Ortagecit Village , which is connected to Ardahan Central County has been coated by stabilized materials. By the means of this activity, the problems arise from bad road conditions after even a short-term rain has been solved .

Ortagecit Village can be easily separated from other Ardahan's villages, by the means of the phone usage, running water system and existence of new school building, when it is compared with other villages. It was carrying importance to defining the main need of the village, due to the infrastructure demands are being requested by other villages like school reparation and water network system had been fulfilled in Ortagecit, earlier. Demands were concentrated on coating the roads of Ortagecit Village , during both field visits of IBC's staff to the village and visits of the Mukhtar to IBC's office.

 

 

Despite of the convergence on same demand, the project staff made some discussions with society and after those meetings, road coating activity has been determined as the main need of the village. After the written application of the Mukhtar and his committee, IBC has made a move to implement the project and has prepared a protocol which was determined the responsibilities of the parties. The best proposal had evaluated after the tender process and the roads which had been determined by Village Mukhtar were repaired by the construction company. It doesn't take so much time to fix weather the activity had been projected properly or not. Because, after the rain of next day the vehicles could use the road without any problem, contrary to previous days.

IBC has paid a great attention and has taken all kind of security measures to prevent any life losses or wound, during the implementation process of the project. During the activity, quite high standardized security precautions of BTC Company have been implemented. In the frame of high attention, the project was implemented without any problem.
