IBC Mentally Challenged REHABILITATION Center students proved once again their capacities

Izmit Blue Crescent Mentally Challenged Children Center students have been expanding and accelerate their activities since the beginning of the spring semester. They are very decisive to improve their talents. Indisputably, these activities enrich their opportunities and encourage them to move one step further. Undoubtedly, the prominent and the staff of International Blue Crescent Relief and Development Foundation (IBC) support their activities and appreciate any improvement that they exhibit.

Izmit Blue Crescent Mentally Challenged Education and Rehabilitation Children students do not want to miss any opportunity that will improve their talents.

Kadirga Festival which is celebrated every yearin Yazlik Province, was another good opportunity for the Center students to exhibit their works.

One of the notables of these activities was the “kite festival” which was led by Bekirpasa Municipality on 3rd July 2004. Flying a kite was something that the students were not familiar with, for the very fact that it requires both time and land. Therefore the activity immediately attracted their attention. Obviously the students of the Center became close friends with other children within a few hours. They did not understand how the time passed.

Another activity of the Izmit Blue Crescent Mentally Challenged Center was the tea party of the mothers' of the students. The aim was to establish intimate relations between parents. Without any hesitation it can be claimed that the administration put the main problem – which is lack of communication between parents- and successfully achieved the goal. The activity was held on 30th June 2004. With the opportunity, provided by Izmit Blue Crescent Mentally Challenged Children Center, the parents did not only have the chance to know each other and share their experiences, but also enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere. It seems that, in the following period, such activities will be held again to establish intimate relations between parents and school administration.

Another notable activity was the picnic, held in Masukiye Cevizdibi on 28 June 2004. The initial aim was obvious: To establish intimate relations between children, parents and school administration. It was kind of them that, Coca Cola and Mudurnu Ayran sponsored the activity. The children enjoyed with a great enthusiasm with their teachers and parents.

Another activity that Izmit Blue Crescent Mentally Challenged Center students participated was the Kadirga Festival which is celebrated every year in Yazlik Province of Izmit.  While the students enjoyed the beautiful environment and atmosphere, their talents were exhibited.

It seems that in the following period, public opinion will witness to other activities of Izmir Blue Crescent Mentally Challenged Center students and IBC will share their joy as in the previous experiences.

Flying a kite was something that the Rehabilitation Center students were not familiar with. They enjoyed the activity, however.
